For 18 years, the Church of the Nazarene in Chorrillo, Guayaquil, Ecuador, has been impacting its community through community development programs. These programs include child discipleship initiatives, vocational training opportunities, health care services, and church planting. Church members are committed to donating labor hours to build, train, and resource the church programs.

Through the various programs of the Chorrillo Church and its daughter churches, we seek to make Christlike disciples in our surroundings. Our holistic approach seeks to demonstrate God's love to its fullest. We aim to reach out to the whole family through our child programs. Through the vocational training programs, we strive to bring financial sustainability, especially to women, so that they can earn a living for their families.

In 2023, there were many advances in the missions planted from the Chorrillo church. Some of the highlights include:
- Purchasing musical instruments and offering music lessons in order to have a local praise team in Daule.
- Building a cafeteria to support the compassionate ministry efforts to keep kids and youth well-fed in Portoviejo
- Installing facility upgrades in San Francisco
- Building a parsonage apartment in Rocafuerte

This is not an exhaustive list of the gains in 2023, and we praise the Lord for the ways he is using his church in this area to serve the community!

Plans for 2024 include building some new church facilities in Chorrillo-Guyaquil and Tsagua-Manabi.
