The Church of the Nazarene has been a faithful presence in the Holy Land since 1921, offering hope, community, and Christ-centered ministry. The current church building, constructed in the early 1960s, has served generations of believers but now requires urgent renovation to remain safe, welcoming, and effective for ministry.
Years of humidity have caused structural and interior damage, creating unhealthy conditions and risking further deterioration if repairs are delayed. The sanctuary platform, where worship leaders and pastors serve each week, has broken steps and worn materials that pose safety hazards and limit the church’s ability to host choirs, children’s programs, and special services. Additionally, the sound system that is more than 20 years old, no longer meets the needs of a growing, multilingual congregation. Poor audio quality makes it difficult for many to hear Scripture, sermons, and worship clearly, and it restricts the church’s ability to minister both in person and online.
Without these critical updates, the church’s capacity to provide safe, accessible, and vibrant ministry is significantly limited. Renovating these essential areas will restore the building’s integrity, strengthen its ministry impact, and ensure that this historic congregation can continue serving its diverse community with excellence for generations to come.
