As John Wesley once said, “The world is my parish.” Around the globe, churches serve as centers of community, hope, and connection. This is especially true in the North Andean Field—which includes Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador—where local congregations are finding creative ways to serve their neighbors and share the love of Christ.
In 2023, one such effort blossomed in Huamboya, Ecuador. Although at the time the Iglesia del Nazareno Renacer Huamboya didn’t yet have a church building, a group of young, passionate Nazarenes came together with a vision: to bless their community by building a playground. Their enthusiasm and commitment turned that vision into reality. The result? A joyful, welcoming space where children laugh, play, and families can gather. These playgrounds become a living reminder that the church is not defined by walls, but by love in action.
This success sparked a bigger dream: to equip every district in the North Andean Field with its own playground. These spaces aren’t just places for kids to play, they're bridges that connect the church to the community, creating natural opportunities for relationship, conversation, and ministry.
There are 16 districts in the North Andean Field. Each playground costs $2,500 to build, making our total need $40,000 . We recognize it’s a big goal, but one we believe is worth pursuing for the children, for the families, and for the future of the church in this region.
Will you join us in this creative and meaningful effort? With your support, we can build spaces that speak the language of joy, safety, and belonging—inviting families to experience the heart of God through the open arms of the local church.
