Africa Nazarene University over its 30-year history has been a beacon of light in Holiness University Education in Africa. What started as a dream with 62 students from 11 different countries is now a home for over 1800 students from 25+ African countries. Since its inception, Africa Nazarene University has become a home for many. In 1994, ANU opened its doors to offer holiness education, providing students with professional tools that help them face the future, and transformational education that enables them to help and bless others in the process.

With over 9000 graduates, ANU has left its mark on Africa with leaders in the areas of IT, Business, Law, Earth and Resource Management, Education, Religion and over 20 other majors. Much of the African leadership for the Church of the Nazarene has been influenced and educated by ANU’s partnership with the region. This rich history has served us well but Africa Nazarene University is facing some serious operational challenges primarily caused by the following two situations:

• The University has never fully recovered from the COVID epidemic and closure. No assistance was provided to universities in Kenya.
• In addition, ANU, together with other private universities in Kenya, have not received millions of dollars in promised tuition fees for government sponsored students over a period of 8 years. Receiving these funds is not guaranteed in the foreseeable future.

Therefore, we have created a fund called the "ANU - FREEDOM FUND". The fund will enable you to join with us in making sure this valued institution will continue to provide the necessary education for Africa and its leaders for years to come.
