The Africa Southeast Field (ASEF) Conference and Training Center will help equip leaders and church members to be Christlike disciples as the church grows quickly on the Africa Southeast Field. This field covers Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The ASEF Center is on the large, 20 acre property which is also home to the Chipongwe Church of the Nazarene, one of the first Nazarene Churches in Zambia. It is ideally located on the main commerce route and bus routes serving the entire field as well as being located almost geographically in the center of the three-country field.

Once completed, the ASEF Center will host leadership and discipleship development, district assembly, extension education, youth meetings, women’s meetings, men’s meetings, children’s development programs. It will also provide an ideal training location for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries training, especially agricultural training.

This is a project that has been growing over more than a decade, but the hard work and vision of local and field leaders has made for major advancements. The final center, following the multi-year, phased development plan, will include a multi-purpose meeting hall, lodging, cafeteria compassionate ministries offices and a possible recording studio. Significant progress has been made on several structures in the plan, including the cafeteria, dorm and the administration building. 

January 2024 update:
The focus of this construction project in 2024 is the completion of the dormitory. It is projected to be fully operational by the end of the year. The center itself is being run and managed with excellence by the South District.

  We praise the Lord for the generous financial contributions of many brothers and sisters excited about the vision God has given for this place. That has brought the financial need from $105,500 in 2023 to $17,500 in 2024. What incredible provision God is making for us!
