The churches of the Occidental District of Panama, located in the Chiriquí and Bocas del Toro provinces, are faithfully serving their communities but face significant challenges due to their remote locations. Because of the distance from Panama City, it has been difficult to attract Nazarene Missions teams, yet the need for support is great.
The Church of the Nazarene in Panama has set a bold goal: to double the number of churches in the next eight years. To reach this vision, existing congregations need stronger infrastructure—safe, functional spaces where ministry can grow. Many churches require urgent repairs such as roofs, walls, floors, bathrooms, electrical systems, and plumbing.
Through this project, your team can make a lasting impact by helping one or two local congregations with these critical improvements. Some of the churches in need include:
• Finca, La Gloria, Loma Brava, El Silencio, and Central (Changuinola area)
• Matarita, San Jose, Las Lajas, and Abanico (Chiriquí area)
Whether through an on-the-ground Nazarene Missions Teams trip or a simple donation to the work being done, your partnership will strengthen these congregations and empower them to continue reaching their communities with the message of holiness.
Together, we can build up the churches of Occidental Panama and help lay the foundation for the multiplication of new churches in the years to come
