In recent years, the city of Trujillo, Peru, has suffered from increasingly intense flooding at abnormal times. Church leaders are concerned about the ability of several buildings, particularly the parsonage, to withstand the climate in the community of El Porvenir.
This project is to construct a protective metal roof that will cover not only parsonage, but also classrooms which serve the local church and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries in the area.
The plan is for church members to do the majority of the manual labor and to hire one individual for the technical aspects of the work.
The total cost of this project is $6,600. The local church and district have each committed to providing $300 USD towards the work, leaving $6,000 to be raised for this urgent need.
There are some time concerns since rains are expected to increase in January and February.
Will you be a part of answering this need in Peru?
