After three years of struggling with traditional church planting in Phoenix, the leadership of Trinitas Church of the Nazarene began asking new questions about how to live out the church's mission more effectively in an urban context. In 2018, those questions led to the emergence of a growing network of missional communities embedded in the lives of the people they serve. These communities now reach individuals in transitional housing, veterans, urban youth, prisons, families of the incarcerated, people with special needs, recovery centers, refugee communities, women in crisis, and unhoused people.

This decentralized, rent-free model has proven both financially sustainable and spiritually fruitful. Since planting our first church in 2023, Trinitas has partnered with Nazarene districts across the U.S. and internationally to plant, relaunch, or remission 17 churches among marginalized populations. Each of these expressions shares our DNA: local, relational, cost-effective, and deeply missional. Nearly 150 decisions for Christ in 2024 in Phoenix alone.

Now, as we continue to grow, we are launching a comprehensive online training and resource center to support, equip, and multiply these efforts. With an investment of $10,000, we will create an accessible digital platform featuring high-quality video training, downloadable materials, and practical tools to support church planters, leaders, and missional communities across urban contexts.

This digital resource will serve as a key tool to foster discipleship, empower missional leaders, and continue our legacy of serving those on the margins through the lens of our Wesleyan-Holiness tradition.
