Serving In

Bethinha Medeiros, nasceu em Recife/Pernambuco, nordeste do Brasil. Ela conheceu o Senhor Jesus Cristo no início da adolescência, aos 11 anos, e sempre foi muito dedicada às atividades na igreja. Ela aprendeu desde cedo que deveria servir ao Senhor com ordem, decência e coração alegre. 

Bethinha se formou em Pedagogia e sempre foi muito dedicada à carreira profissional. Lecionou todos os níveis da Educação Básica, desde a Educação Infantil até o Ensino Superior.

Em 2005, ela descobriu a Igreja do Nazareno em sua cidade e começou a se reconectar com seu chamado missionário, que estava adormecido. Mas mais do que tudo, ela descobriu que servir ao Senhor em tempo integral era o que faltava em sua vida, e começou a dizer ao Senhor que o desejo de seu coração era devolver a Ele tudo o que Ele havia permitido que ela aprendesse na área educacional.

Para Bethinha, o discipulado e o cuidado são o seu ministério.  Ela sempre esteve disponível para servir e durante muitos anos esteve envolvida no ministério de ensino e discipulado: Ela foi Presidente do NDI na sua igreja local, Vice-Presidente do NDI no Distrito.  Também desenvolveu trabalhos de formação e educação para Professores EBD e Professores Discipulados no Brasil. Participa do grupo de trabalho que desenvolve currículos para escolas bíblicas e colabora com o estabelecimento e consolidação de igrejas.

Ordenada Diaconisa, é formada em Pedagogia, Especialista em Educação Pública e Recursos Humanos Aplicados à Educação, Mestre em Avaliação e Gestão da Educação Básica e licenciada em Teologia pelo Seminário Teológico Nazareno do Brasil. 

 Atualmente está cursando Mestrado em Liderança Pastoral na Perspectiva Wesleyana.

Bethinha Medeiros, was born in Recife/Pernambuco, northeast of Brazil. She met the Lord Jesus Christ in her early teens, at the age of 11, and was always very dedicated to activities in the church. She learned from an early age that she should serve the Lord with order, decency and a joyful heart. 

Bethinha graduated in Pedagogy and has always been very dedicated to her professional career. She has taught all levels of Basic Education, from Early Childhood Education to Higher Education.

In 2005, she discovered the Church of the Nazarene in her city and began to reconnect with her missionary call, which had been dormant. But more than anything, she discovered that serving the Lord full time was what was missing in her life, and she began to tell the Lord that her heart's desire was to give back to Him everything He had allowed her to learn in the educational area.

For Bethinha, discipleship and caring is her ministry.  She has always been available to serve and over many years she has been involved in the ministry of teaching and discipleship: She has been NDI President in her local church, NDI Vice-President in the District. She has also developed training and education work for EBD Teachers and Discipleship Teachers in Brazil. She participates in the working group that develops curiculum for Bible schools, and she collaborates with the establishment and consolidation of churches.

Ordained to Deaconess, she has a degree in Pedagogy, is a Specialist in Public Education and Human Resources Applied to Education, holds a Master's in Assessment and Management of Basic Education and has obtained a degree in Theology from the Nazarene Theological Seminary of Brazil. 

She is currently studying a Master's degree in Pastoral Leadership in the Wesleyan Perspective.
