When the district superintendent in South Madagascar visited the pastors and asked what would help them in ministry, their request was a simple one: bicycles.
This area has been struck hard by drought, and as a result, jobs are difficult to find and food is scarce. In spite of these challenges, the church is growing and the pastors are eager to preach the gospel. Most of them do not have their own means of transportation, and there is no public transportation between the villages. Pastors have been walking, some as far as 16 miles, to share the message of hope in Jesus. They shared with their district superintendent that they are eager to plant more churches in even more communities, and the tools that would help the most are bicycles.
This project will provide bikes for 15 pastors, including both the purchase and delivery. Imagine the families whose lives will be changed thanks to the arrival of a pastor on a bicycle! You can be a small part of that story of transformation by supporting the Madagascar Bicycle Project.
