Gossaye and Angela began serving the Lord from a young age. They got married in 2004 in Addis Ababa Ethiopia and moved to South Africa the next year. Gossaye was born in the central part of Ethiopia Arsi and Angela is from Wellington Western Cape, South Africa. She grew up pastored by her nazarene dad and studied at NTC Johannesburg for her Theology and Missional studies. Gossaye started his ministry as an Evangelist/ Missionary in the Rift Valley town of Zuway/Batu in Ethiopia and was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2004.
Angela served as part of a management team in the Good News Convention Centre in Johannesburg South Africa and Gossaye pastored the Central Church of the Nazarene in Addis Ababa Ethiopia (2002-2005), and as District Superintendent in Gaborone Botswana from (2006-2007). They pastored Bhisho Church of the Nazarene in Eastern Cape South Africa (2008-2010) from then until they rejoined the GNCC management team in 2022-2023. They served in an urban ministry outreach to refugees in and around Southern Africa.
Gossaye and Angela are blessed with two boys Nebiyu,18 and Keno,16 who both love the Lord and like sports, especially rugby and soccer. The Hamda’s are passionate about people knowing Christ and being transformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ. While Angela enjoys reading, baking, serving children and empowering women, Gossaye likes meeting people and sharing his thoughts on Christian issues. Together, they love serving people and traveling. The Hamda’s are currently assigned as missionaries to serve in Ethiopia. Pray for them as they serve in this part of Africa to be the channel of grace to bring salvation and healing to God's people in Ethiopia. Pray for them and their children for God to make the love of Jesus Christ known through their ministry.
