Cherish will be serving in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for the 2024-2025 school year at the Kudjip Missionary Kid School in support of Kudjip Nazarene General Hospital. Kudjip Hospital is located in one of the most remote areas of the world in the rural Highlands of PNG. The hospital has been serving the people of PNG since 1967. 230 PNG Nationals and Missionary Physicians staff the hospital which also supports a mobile rural health service. The Kudjip Missionary Kid School where Cherish will teach provides a high-quality, Christ-centered education program for the children of these Missionary Physicians and Volunteer Staff at the hospital.
The Lord has uniquely shaped Cherish’s life to fit this teaching position at this time. She has more than 10 years of middle and high school teaching experience and also facilitates professional adult education. As a long-time member of Lansdale Immanuel Church of the Nazarene, she has volunteered as a leader in Youth Group, Children’s Ministries, Kids Missions, NMI Missions Council, and Adult Bible Fellowship. She is excited to now go and serve in Papua New Guinea and looks forward to the new adventure the Lord has in store for her!
Would you please consider joining Cherish’s monthly support team? She would love to stay and teach beyond the 2024-2025 school year. That is only possible with your continued support! Your monthly gift over the next few years will help cover travel and financial support needs (salary, housing, insurance, retirement, medical and other expenses). One-time donations are also a great help on this journey.
Thank you for partnering with Cherish as she embraces this calling!
4 As in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them.
7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Romans 12 4,7-8
