Living as a Disciple in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea- Called to Love and Called to Serve

Ella Grace Slibeck is a missionary with the Church of the Nazarene, preparing for her first overseas assignment in Papua New Guinea. She will be serving at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital, nestled in the remote highlands, where she’ll assist with hospital administration, engage with the children of missionary families through science and learning, and offer a willing heart to whatever else God has planned.

Ella’s calling is rooted in a lifelong desire to serve others and was recently deepened during a trip to the Dominican Republic, where she experienced God’s presence in powerful ways. That encounter solidified her desire to bring glory to God's Kingdom through acts of compassion and service.

She views this mission not just as a task, but as a step of faith—trusting God to use her hands, her heart, and her time to love people and point them to Jesus. Whether through behind-the-scenes work or hands-on ministry, Ella is ready to be part of what God is already doing in PNG.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

— Joshua 1:9
