Camilo’s journey in ministry began in his home country of Venezuela, where he worked closely alongside missionaries and became actively involved in the life and mission of the local church. It was during these formative years that he sensed God’s call to full-time missions. With a background in both commercial and residential construction, Camilo has also served faithfully in various areas of ministry, including music, Work & Witness, discipleship, and church development.
Camilo and his wife, Sara, met while serving in missions and were married in Venezuela in 2002. They remained actively engaged in their local church and pursued careers in their respective fields until answering the call to full-time missionary service in 2017. From 2017 to 2021, the family served in the Africa Region, specifically in Cabo Verde and Equatorial Guinea.
Currently, Camilo serves in the USA/Canada Region as the Regional Nazarene Missions Teams Coordinator and the Cycle of Resurgence Program Manager. He also holds the role of Global Nazarene Missions Teams Coordinator. Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Camilo works to support churches and leaders throughout the region, helping them engage more deeply with their communities and mission efforts.
Camilo and Sara have 3 children: Landon (21), Kyle (18), and Adriana (15).
