Many small churches struggle to create an effective online presence, even though most first-time visitors now explore a church’s website before ever stepping inside its doors. People want to know whether a congregation is welcoming, active, Bible-based, and engaged in meaningful ministry. A well-designed site with sermon recordings, event photos, online giving, service opportunities, and accurate contact information can make the difference between someone choosing to visit or moving on to another church. Yet nearly half of our smallest congregations have no website at all, and many who do have one lack the resources or technical expertise to keep it updated.
This project will provide a high-quality, Nazarene-branded website template that small churches can use at no cost, paying only a modest monthly fee for ongoing maintenance and custom updates. The design will reflect the region’s Cycle of Resurgence vision while allowing each church to personalize content for its own ministries and community. In partnership with Ministry Designs, Inc., the template will follow current best practices in user experience and mobile accessibility, ensuring a professional and welcoming introduction to each congregation. Dedicated support staff will help churches get started and maintain their sites over time, making it simple for pastors and volunteers to keep their online presence fresh.
By equipping small churches with an attractive, functional website, this initiative will strengthen local outreach, improve communication with members, and open the door for more people to discover these congregations—often for the first time—through the digital front door.
