Our Africa Region currently consists of 145 districts spread across approximately 44 countries on the continent. Thanks to the church’s hard work, growth has been exponential, creating the opportunity to develop capable leaders who can effectively guide pastors and local leaders.

Through the DS Academy, the region will support the districts and create synergies within them to ensure that the churches carry out and fulfill their doctrinal and missional purposes. Through this initiative, the region will be able to train district superintendents, their respective boards, and key ministry leaders, as well as approximately 9,000 pastors, to establish a stronger Nazarene presence in various areas of Africa.

We believe that God is calling the region to develop prosperous and equipped districts that can lead churches toward maturity and actively participate in discipleship through an integrated ministry strategy in villages, towns, and major cities across Africa.

By equipping the DSs of Africa, we will enable the church’s reach to be even greater and allow those who have not yet experienced the saving grace of Jesus to have a close encounter with Him.
