This construction project in a city in the Eastern Mediterranean field is an exciting one. Two tracts of land were donated to the church by local authorities for use by the church, and their plan is to establish a ministry center where people from their community can find hope regardless of their religious affiliation.
The land being gifted by the local authorities who themselves come from a different faith background is a great testament not only to God’s blessing on the church body, but also that the church’s reputation as people who are serving their community is firmly established.
The pastor noted the church faces challenges in this area for many reasons, one of them being that many, especially Christians, have emigrated to other places. Yet he added, “But the church is not only for the Christians!” Current Nazarene church leaders have accepted the call by the Lord to remain in their country and continue serving and influencing people of all backgrounds in order to see many come to know Him.
The pastor of this local church and his congregation are acting as a light of hope for their community. “I love the people of our community, and I love to share Jesus Christ with them,” the pastor said.
The goals of this facility would be ultimately to serve:
- To meet the needs of vulnerable children
- As a guesthouse
- As a center for teaching the Bible.
The project will be completed in phases as the funding is available.
Thank you for your support for the work of the Lord in this community.
