The Chaguala family, originally from Mozambique, are missionaries on a global assignment serving in the Africa Region. Admirado and Celeste Chaguala, alongside their children Noel and Shirley, embody a passion for serving their community and nurturing Christ-centered leadership.
Admirado and Celeste Chaguala have a rich history of ministry service in Mozambique. Admirado's leadership spans various roles, including local pastoral duties and spearheading multiple projects under Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM). Notably, he led the establishment of child development centers, WASH and nutrition programs, and district resourcing initiatives. Admirado's vision centers on cultivating Christ-centered leadership, exemplified by his oversight of constructing a leadership training center in northern Mozambique.
Celeste served as a typist of TEE (Training Extension Education) program, secretary at Seminário Nazareno em Moçambique (Bible College) and literature coordinator for the Lusophone Field (Portuguese speaking countries in Africa). She was engaged in developing resources for an extension education program and discipleship ministry in Mozambique. Celeste also served as the Regional NDI Coordinator for Africa. She currently serves as the Regional Personnel Coordinator for the Africa Region. Her passion is to see integral and intentional discipleship happening in the grass roots with more focus on children so that they grow as Christ followers. One key project that Celeste led was the translation and adaptation of Sunday school books into oral method in the main mother languages on the Africa Region in order to also disciple those who can’t read and write. Celeste’s personal motivation is to learn more of God, to grow spiritually and to be obedient to His call until the end of her days. Celeste holds a Master's in Pastoral Ministries from Northwest Nazarene University in the USA, augmenting her practical experience with academic rigor.
Admirado serves as the country mission coordinator for Mozambique and administrative assistant to the Regional Director for the Africa Region. His focus remains on leadership development, strategic networking, and ministry reinforcement.
Celeste's serves currently as the Regional Personnel Coordinator for the Africa Region.
