Partnering with a community space/coffeehouse church in London

Carmen Reyes is preparing for her first overseas assignment in the United Kingdom. During her time there, she will partner with a community space/coffeehouse church in London to engage, build relationships, and disciple children and their families. In addition to fostering these connections, Carmen will develop community groups, participate in the local church’s activities, and help lead Sunday children’s ministries.

Carmen’s journey began in the Nazarene church, where, growing up, she served in Children’s Ministries and participated in missions trips to Mexico to assist with Vacation Bible School. Later, wanting to follow God’s calling for her, she accepted a role as Family Resource Coordinator at a local non-profit. In this capacity, she supported children and families by connecting them to essential resources such as family classes, emergency food, housing, and more.

Through these experiences, God affirmed her calling to service, leading her to accept a position at her church as the Elementary Administrator. In this role, Carmen has helped lead the Children’s Ministry at her home church.

Her lifelong calling has always been to serve and embody the love of Christ wherever she is led, and with God’s guidance, she is dedicated to going into the world and proclaiming the Good News of Jesus.

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.” - 1 Peter 4:10-11
