The Ibandas work as a support to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) local leaders who serve vulnerable children, some of them being from the streets, and help in church planting, church growth and leadership development, and coordinate Pastoral Training and Education. They have had a passion for missions for many years and have a deep desire to serve God and to share His love wherever He may lead them.  They are very excited about what the Lord is doing in the Indian Ocean in general and, in particular in Madagascar, Mauritius, and enjoy the peace that comes from being in the center of God’s perfect will; Some of those vulnerable children are now taking care of themselves and their families, and some of the pastors have been ordained and more are on the list of this year’s ordination. New planted churches have gotten leaders who are undergoing training. They are passionate to share Christ and His transforming power to those they meet by reaching out to the lost, discipling the found and sending the discipled to do the same, as they live out the compassion among the forgotten. They are so happy to minister with you.

Just to give you some figures: currently, the Nazarene bible school has 12 enrolled students in Mauritius and 103 enrolled students. The Madagascar street kids center has 246 kids and the Nosy Be Nazarene child development center/school has 126 kids enrolled.

The Ibandas are facilitating the translation of a course of study resource curriculum for pastors and leaders in Malagasy language. This course of study has a pragmatic and missional opportunity to develop and train pastors and leaders within their local contexts.

They hope this introduction will give you an idea of who we are and what we are doing. They thank you for your prayers.
