Jael grew up as a leader’s kid. Her parents always served in the Church of the Nazarene in Mexico. She was born on January 18, 2000, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico… But she and her family moved constantly while growing up due to her parent’s jobs and studies. But Jael loved it! She loves His creation, loves art (painting and singing) and exercise; she is currently a brown belt at karate do (Goju Ryu style). She’s a very spontaneous girl and loves to see the world through physical, soulful, and spiritual means. She considers herself creative, courageous, and firm in what is right. Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite animal is the hummingbird.

When Jael was a little girl, she would attend church activities with her parents. And because they served the youth for a long time, she hoped one day she would to. And so, her call to serve the young people was established ever since. She loved serving growing up, and began to sense a call to missions when she turned 16 but wasn’t sure and wasn’t thrilled about it either.

She began to study at the Nazarene Theological Seminary at the age of 16 and started to serve the teenagers of her church, and the year after, as a youth leader and as a Sunday school teacher for 5 years. She was able to minister and raise up young leaders that could take the charge after her time of serving there was over with the support of her church and the help of her parents. Meanwhile she served NYI in various ministries, including the Communications Ministry and as president/vice president (locally, in her “zone”, in her district, and in her field).

Now, by the grace of Adonai, Jael can say that she received her missionary call in 2017 (at the age of 17) and received a confirmation in 2021 (at the age of 21). She is a Graphic Designer graduate and is currently working freelance. She and her family are currently serving at a mission, where Jael is the youth leader and Sunday school teacher (for young adults). Also, she is currently serving as the Mesoamerica NYI Region Facilitator for the Communications Ministry, as an interpreter for NYI on the Mesoamerica Region, and as a support in some NYI Global events (with interpretation, translation, graphic design, etc).

As God continues to confirm Jael’s calling to the mission field, God opened the doors to a missionary project called “Genesis Project” in Chihuahua, Mexico, in the Mesoamerica Region. She will be sent to serve for 2 years to evangelize, disciple people, and build a church with her fellow missionaries.

Prayer requests: Please consider praying for Jael’s family, as they will stay behind, and her mom is going through health issues. Pray for Jael’s courage so she can stay confident in her future journey.

Jael creció siendo hija de líderes, sus padres siempre sirvieron en la Iglesia del Nazareno en México. Nació el 18 de enero del 2000 en Guadalajara, Jalisco, México... Pero ella y su familia se mudaban constantemente mientras crecía debido a los trabajos y estudios de sus padres. ¡Pero a Jael le encantaba! Ama Su creación, le encanta el arte (pintar y cantar) y hacer ejercicio; actualmente es cinta café en karate do (estilo Goju Ryu). Es una chica muy espontánea y le encanta ver el mundo de manera física, por medio del alma y de forma espiritual. Se considera creativa, valiente y firme en lo que es correcto. Su color favorito es el morado y su animal preferido, el colibrí.

Cuando Jael era pequeña, iba a las actividades de la iglesia con sus padres. Y como ellos sirvieron a los jóvenes durante mucho tiempo, ella esperaba que algún día ella también lo haría. Y así, su llamada a servir a los jóvenes se estableció desde entonces. Le encantaba servir mientras crecía, y empezó a sentir una llamada a las misiones cuando cumplió 16 años, pero no estaba segura y tampoco le entusiasmaba.

Comenzó a estudiar en el Seminario Teológico de la Iglesia del Nazareno a la edad de 16 años y comenzó a servir a los adolescentes de su iglesia, y un año después, como líder de jóvenes y como maestra de escuela dominical por 5 años. Con el apoyo de su iglesia y la ayuda de sus padres, fue capaz de ministrar y formar líderes jóvenes que pudieran asumir el cargo una vez finalizado su tiempo de servicio allí. Mientras tanto, sirvió a la JNI en varios ministerios, incluyendo el Ministerio de Comunicaciones y como presidenta/vicepresidenta (localmente, en su "zona", en su distrito y en su área).

Ahora, por la gracia de Adonai, Jael puede decir que recibió su llamado misionero desde 2017 (a los 17 años) y recibió una confirmación en 2021 (a los 21 años). Es graduada en Diseño Gráfico y actualmente trabaja como freelance. Ella y su familia sirven actualmente en una misión, donde Jael es líder de jóvenes y maestra de escuela dominical (para jóvenes adultos). Además, actualmente sirve como Facilitadora del Ministerio de Comunicaciones de la JNI Región Mesoamérica, como intérprete para la JNI Región Mesoamérica y como apoyo en algunos eventos de la JNI Global (con interpretación, traducción, diseño gráfico, etc).

Mientras Dios continua confirmando el llamado de Jael en el campo misionero, Dios abrió las puertas a un proyecto misionero llamado "Proyecto Génesis" en Chihuahua, México, en Región Mesoamérica. Ella será enviada a servir por 2 años para evangelizar, discipular personas y construir una iglesia con sus compañeros misioneros.
